The Race Format and Logistics
Format
- A race in matched boats
- Thames Waterman Cutters
- from Westminster Bridge (Big Ben) to Pont D'léna (Eiffel Tower)
- a distance of 417 nautical miles
- The Race will
- be run over a series of timed stages
- have a points system
- have a winning crew for each stage
- have a cumulative time for each boat and thus overall winner
- take place in May 2008
- last approximately 7 days (including return from Paris)
Logistics
- Each crew will consist of a squad of 10 rowing in rotation (to be decided by the crew).
- Thames Waterman Cutters (identical dimensions, fibreglass hulls, wooden fittings) and all rigged for six rowing positions and one coxswain.

What the crews entering need to do
- Organise a Crew (fit with knowledge of rowing).
- Establish Land Based Support Team

- Accommodation in Paris at finish
